Determine the score you need on a final exam to reach your target grade. Enter your current grade, how much it is worth, your desired final grade and the exam's weighting to see the required exam score and whether it is achievable.
Enter your current grade as a percentage, how much of the final mark that work is worth, the grade you want overall, and how much the final exam is worth. The calculator works out the score you need on the exam and whether it is within reach.

A final grade calculator tells you the exact mark you need on your final exam to hit a target overall grade, taking into account how much your current work and the exam are each worth.
If your current work is worth C% of the grade and the exam is worth F% (and they sum to 100):
Required exam score = (desired × 100 − current × C) ÷ F
If the required score is over 100%, the target is out of reach; if it's 0 or below, you've already secured it.
Enter them as percentages of the final mark; they don't have to total 100, but the calculation assumes everything else is already captured in your current grade. For best results the two weightings should represent the complete grade.
The verdict flags anything above 100% as out of reach and very high scores (90–100%) as challenging. Use it to set a sensible, motivating target.
